One of the most desirable areas to live in the country.
Located in the choice coastal edge of Los Angeles County, just twenty miles from downtown Los Angeles and seven miles south of Los Angeles International Airport, Redondo Beach has been a preferred resort destination for more than a century and one of the most desirable areas to live in the country. Much larger than its south bay counterparts Manhattan and Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach is 6.35 square miles and home to over 66,000 people. Redondo Beach is divided into two sections, North and South Redondo which meet at a very small section of Pacific Coast Highway and 190th St.
South Redondo: South Redondo has lots of ocean view hillsides, and has direct access to the beach and pacific ocean. Just south of Hermosa Beach, South Redondo comprises King Harbor and the Redondo Beach Pier, as well as the Esplanade, a street running the length of the beach in Redondo with homes and apartments with ocean front views similar to The Strand in Manhattan & Hermosa Beach. At the southern tip of Redondo Beach is Riviera Village, a shopping village with excellent shops and a myriad of restaurants. South Redondo includes many condominium and townhouse developments which have replaced older single family residences on large lots.
North Redondo: North Redondo is directly east of Manhattan Beach & Hermosa Beach and is approximately 1 mile from the Pacific Ocean. Properties in North Redondo tend to be more affordable than in South Redondo and are typically townhomes or single family residences often characterized by their ‘tall & skinny’ lot sizes.
